| The ACTG Early-Stage Investigator Mentorship Award (AESIMA) was developed to encourage young investigators to participate in ACTG research activities. This program was established in 1996 and has successfully launched the careers of more than 30 early-stage investigators in the U.S.
The recipients of the 2025-2027 AESIMA are Dr. Paula Debroy and Dr. Evelyn Iriarte Parra.
• Dr. Debroy is an Assistant Professor at the Houston Advancing Research Team. Her AESIMA research focuses on muscle-adipose tissue interplay in HIV.
• Dr. Parra is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz. Her AESIMA research focuses on the intrinsic capacity and functional health among older people with HIV in the ACTG HAILO Cohort.
Please join us in congratulating these investigators! |
