Executive Level Committees

The ACTG Executive Committee (AEC) is the primary governing body of the ACTG and is ultimately responsible for all scientific, administrative, and fiscal decisions on behalf of the Network. In conjunction with the activities of several committees, the AEC oversees the scientific direction and research agendas of the ACTG; develops bylaws, policies, and procedures of the network; standardizes and monitors the efficiency of data collection procedures; establishes standards of performance for network collaborators and sites; oversees the allocation of resources; and makes and implements recommendations to enhance representation of underserved populations and participation by minority investigators.
